Manager of Leasing and Development

Our client, an industry leader in advertising, is currently seeking a Leasing Manager to oversee the development and lease sales activities of the leasing department in BC.  With continued growth in the retail sector, they are seeking to actively expand their real estate portfolio throughout the province. 

As the Leasing Manager you will oversee the company’s lease portfolio of existing properties, as well as direct the planning for the acquisition of new sites to further their growth. You will manage relationships with major national accounts as well as with smaller local landlords. Currently the lease portfolio is focused in the Lower Mainland, but is rapidly expanding in the Prince George, BC Interior and Vancouver Island regions. 

You are a creative new business developer, an excellent negotiator with superior communication and organization skills and have a strong sense of urgency and initiative. You have proven success managing a team of sales people and will possess the following requirements:

• Successful track record in leasing acquisition in the retail market place
• Minimum 5 years experience in a leasing or real estate environment
• Experience in all sectors; municipal, provincial, private, 1st Nations landlords
• Understanding of construction and related by-laws
• Proven track record in managing a team of individuals
• Ability to manage the budget for department
• Creative problems solver with the ability to find solutions
• Post-secondary education in a business, real estate or general manager discipline preferred
